Ingredients
2 1/2 cups lukewarm water
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
4 teaspoons salt
2 eggs
6 teaspoons quick-rise instant yeast
4 cups whole wheat flour
4 cups all-purpose white flour
Preparation
Step 1
Put first 6 ingredients into mixing bowl, stir.
Step 2
Add the 8 cups of flour, stir until moistened.
Step 3
Let dough set 5 minutes
Step 4
Knead in bowl with dough hooks or by hand 4 minutes. If dough is still sticky after kneading 2 minutes add a little more flour.
Step 5
Let dough raise in cold oven with the light on for 40 minutes.
Step 6
Shape into loaves. Let raise another 40 minutes.
Step 7
Carefully take risen loaves out of cold oven and turn oven on to 375F. When hot, bake loaves for 35 minutes.
